EDEN: Where does your story as an artist begin — personally?

Roman Feral: For me, art was always a way to defeat time and become timeless after I am gone. The idea of creating something that could outlive me, something that would continue to speak long after my presence, became my deepest motivation.

Art was never only about beauty—it was about permanence.

EDEN: Was there a moment you knew art would be central to your life?

Roman Feral: I realized that I needed to work with passion in order to feel truly fulfilled. Art was the only path that gave me that feeling.

It was never just a career choice, but something much deeper—a necessity.

Language & Identity

EDEN: What themes or ideas do you return to most?

Roman Feral: The themes I return to most are transformation, opulence, fragility, and permanence.

Butterflies became a natural symbol for this—they represent life, movement, and the ephemeral. I like the tension between something delicate and something monumental, between nature and luxury, between what disappears and what remains.

My work is about transforming the ephemeral into the timeless.

Process & Discipline

EDEN: How do you know when a piece is finished?

Roman Feral: As a perfectionist, a piece is never truly finished. There is always something to refine, adjust, or improve.

The challenge is knowing when to let it live on its own and trust that it carries the emotion and presence I intended.

EDEN: How do you handle doubt or creative blocks?

Roman Feral: Creative doubt is part of the process. I believe discipline is stronger than inspiration.

Even when there is doubt, you continue working. Often clarity comes through action, not waiting.

EDEN: What should someone feel living with your work?

Roman Feral: I want people to feel emotion, curiosity, and elevation when they live with my work.

A sculpture should not only decorate a space, it should change the energy of it. It should create a presence.

EDEN: Is there a piece that feels especially personal to you — and why?

Roman Feral: Many different pieces feel personal to me because each one represents a different moment in my evolution, both as an artist and as a person.

EDEN: Which artists have influenced you the most?

Roman Feral: I have always admired artists who created something new in a world where it feels like everything has already been done—artists like Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, and Philippe Pasqua, each in very different ways.

I am inspired by ambition as much as aesthetics.

Roman Feral: My work exists between contemporary sculpture, luxury culture, and symbolic storytelling.

It reflects our time because it questions what we value, what we desire, and what truly lasts.

Roman Feral: Today, the role of an artist is to create emotion and meaning in a world that moves too fast.

Art reminds people to stop, to feel, and to reflect.

EDEN: Who do you imagine living with your work?

Roman Feral: I imagine my collectors as people who value emotion, beauty, and symbolism—not only luxury.
