New York City’s finest arrived at the gallery in the heart of SoHo, New York, to celebrate Accardi’s latest collection of paintings and sculptures inspired by his life growing up in Italy. Italy, the country with the most vibrant history of fine art, is home to Accardi and also where he draws much of his inspiration. Incorporating icons from thousands of years of fine art, Accardi brings new life to classical sculpture and Italian culture. 

There is a maturity and sophistication to his use of color and materials that have clearly been developing over decades. The use of ink, oil, and acrylic paints together add layer upon layer of depth to the image, guiding the eye to explore the canvas and its hidden designs.

It was exciting to see art patrons of New York City immerse themselves in Accardi’s surrealistic world. There they had the opportunity to take pictures with the artists himself in a recreated painting live at the show! Eden Fine Art created a life-size Angelo Accardi painting, including the characters that often frequent his works.

Amongst the guests were other recognizable faces, such as Alec Monopoly and Alexa Dellanos who came out to support their fellow artist.
