Art is self-expression. Each piece is a deliberate choice. With other collections, the decision happens once — you decide to collect — then it becomes about finishing the set, whether you love every piece or not. Art stays intentional.

EDEN Collectors Series: Dan & Nadia Feldman
In a unique home filled with warmth, music, and color, Dan and Nadia Feldman have built a collection that mirrors their story: one of intellect, curiosity, and joy. Both lawyers by profession, their journey as collectors reflects a shared instinct for balance between deliberation and emotion, between expression and harmony.
Art is self-expression. Each piece is a deliberate choice. With other collections, the decision happens once — you decide to collect — then it becomes about finishing the set, whether you love every piece or not. Art stays intentional.
Dan: I’m an energy lawyer based in Abu Dhabi. I grew up in Australia, was born in London, and have family all over the world. My wife Nadia and I have lived here for 13 years with our son, Saul.
Nadia: I’m also a lawyer. I was born and raised in the UK, with a Lebanese father and an Icelandic mother. We moved here from London, thinking we’d stay for two years. Thirteen years later, we’re still here and love the city’s warmth and multicultural energy.
EDEN: When did you both start collecting?
Dan: I’ve always collected things—trading cards, records, guitars. But with art, it’s different. You’re not completing a set; every piece is a deliberate choice. Each work has to fit the space, the theme, or the feeling of the moment.
Nadia: For me, collecting started young. I used to mail in coupons for little figurines with my mum. I still have almost the full set. My first real art purchase was in Reykjavík—a small white canvas with an explosion of color. I loved it instantly.
EDEN: How would you describe your art taste today?
Dan: Colorful, musical, and a bit unexpected. Our home should feel warm and alive, not like a gallery. I want guests to feel energy and harmony rather than focus on any single piece.
Nadia: I buy with my heart. I either love something or I don’t. I need that instant spark—joy, curiosity, even sadness. Some pieces make me sit and stare; others make me laugh.
EDEN: Has Abu Dhabi influenced the way you collect?
Dan: Definitely. The city’s evolution has opened up so many new possibilities. It’s a place where different influences meet, and your choices can inspire others. It feels fresh and forward-looking.
EDEN: What are some of your favorite pieces from your collection?
Dan: We have a beautiful Yoel Benharrouche in our media room—an explosion of color and music that transforms the space. His works L’esprit et la matière, Les anges de la ville, and Les cordes de mon âme are among our favorites.
Nadia: We also love David Kracov’s works like Go with the Flow, Big Bang, and Thinking Outside the Box – Conductor. They bring such joy and motion. Dorit Levinstein’s sculptures, especially the Dancers – Renoir and her Beatles series, always make me smile. And I adore Roman Feral’s Circle of Life and Calman Shemi’s Vinyls Black. They remind us how art can make everyday life sing.
EDEN: What does art bring into your life?
Nadia: Joy and reflection. In the middle of a busy day, I can look up and think, “I forgot how beautiful that is.” That’s the magic of it.
Dan: Art allows us to express who we are right now. It’s not nostalgia—it’s presence. Our collection tells the story of our lives at this moment.
