Art Basel Miami 2019: Go Big or Go Home

Appropriately titled The Ultimate Party House by HGTV, multimillionaire Bill Dean opened up his 40 million dollar mansion to Eden Fine Art and Alec Monopoly to throw the most exciting party of the week! 1,000 men, women, and A-list celebrities donned their most provocative clothes, highlighted their protruding cheekbones, and made their way to the historical Mediterranean Revival estate located in Miami Beach. 

The evening started with a private VIP dinner for those closest to Monopoly. Arriving by private yacht, every guest was transported into his world of luxury, excess, and his trademark money bags. One of Alec Monopoly’s signature components to many of his works, the money bag, is emblematic of the brand he has created. Decorating the various gardens, floating in the pool, and balanced on the roof of the mansion, his familiar motif was everywhere. Alongside the multitude of moneybags were paintings and sculptures by the artist himself, allowing patrons to explore extraordinary Monopoly artworks while traversing the many halls and gardens of the estate.

After the extravagant meal, more party-goers started to arrive at the mansion ready to celebrate a successful week of art and more parties. Rick Ross, the boss, and award-winning rapper, songwriter and record executive, provided the musical entertainment of the evening. Followed up by Luciano, the world-famous Chilean-Swiss DJ. Alec Monopoly painted live for the throngs of people cheering and dancing in celebration of his newest works. 

Miami Art Gallery

The following day, in the center of the Art Basel action, Alec Monopoly rolled up to Eden Fine Art Gallery in his personal hand-painted Mercedes G 550 SUV. Welcomed by a crowd of hundreds of excited fans, Monopoly was the life and soul of this day-time extravaganza.

DJ Alix Brown played her set for this thrilling street party, while models wearing ‘ALEC’ swimsuits posed next to the painted Rolls Royce, Mercedes, Bugatti, and Ducati Monster for the guests to take pictures. Patrons sipped on champaign and enjoyed treats from the ice cream truck while admiring the gallery full of his latest works. Outside of the gallery, across the street, Alec stood atop the roof to put on a show, live painting a 23 foot tall money bag! Shortly after, in a move shocking the masses of people packed into the street below, Monopoly blew up the money bag in a display to remember.

Amongst the abundance of artistic activity and celebrations, Eden Fine Art alongside Alec Monopoly stood out. A party in the largest mansion of Miami Beach followed up by a street party fit for the stars. Miami is a premier destination for art buyers and graffiti art fanatics alike.
