Alec Monopoly at the Eden Gallery Dubai Grand Opening

Throughout the week of a momentous grand opening, Eden Gallery’s new location in The Dubai Mall, the second biggest mall in the world, has unveiled a display of the works of exclusive artists Alec Monopoly, Eduardo Kobra, David Kracov, Angelo Accardi, and others. Eden Gallery Dubai is a breathtaking space consisting of over 11,000 sq ft of Eden’s world-renowned contemporary fine artworks.

As part of the Grand Opening Eden Week event, guests of the gallery were also invited to visit Alec Monopoly’s live event. During this night, Alec’s entire iconic Hermès painting collection was sold out. Over 1,000 people attended the event and danced the night away. Alec himself made a grand entrance and exit in a car decked out in his iconic logo and dollar bill motif. A live DJ added even more to the lively atmosphere, along with a dance crew and a one-of-a-kind live mural painting session by Alec, across from Red Valentino. The vibrant mural measured an impressive 520x383 cm | 204x150 in, and encapsulated his instantly recognizable artistic style. The event was topped off with Alec’s own DJ set to cheering crowds. Alec spread a warm energy and included himself among the fun; he was seen mingling with guests, taking pictures with admirers, and making a number of heartfelt live dedications.

Alec Monopoly’s colorful, daring graffiti artworks are known around the world for their fun and thought provoking cultural commentary, and have been collected by world-renowned art collectors and celebrities. In his brand new collection, he includes his vibrant characters: Uncle Pennybags, Scrooge, and Richie Rich, who are featured against a backdrop of the city of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks. 

Visit Eden on Fashion Avenue at The Dubai Mall, just steps away from the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. Opening hours: Sunday - Wednesday 10 AM - 12 AM, Thursday - Saturday 10 AM - 1 AM.
