Feelings, emotions, and questions that arise within me are of much greater personal interest. I often examine all kinds of facts or clichés."

2. Creation is the purpose of life.

Levinstein explains that there is no distinction between her personal life and her work, as both occupy her thoughts and time. Dorit poignantly describes this trance-like state that she enters while working, saying, "when I work, nothing else matters. I enter into an intense concentration between myself and myself. In fact, my eyes are "closed to the environment." I work with another part of my brain. I see only thoughts that run past. I argue with myself about why something has been done one way or another. Sometimes I feel that I need to be corrected and still don't stop; I also have to carry out the mistake. It works in the same way that life does. Something may be a mistake, and yet you must experience it. These hours of creation are the purpose of my life. The world does not exist outside of what I create, so I ignore other images."
