Seated with commanding nonchalance, the protagonist gestures upward as if challenging the very notion of linear time, while the vividly rendered rooster at his feet introduces a symbol of vigilance, rebirth, and instinctual truth. Accardi’s dramatic contrasts—deep blacks punctuated by expressive whites and bursts of color—create a cosmic, almost dreamlike atmosphere where surrealism meets psychological tension.
